Filtration and Separation
Filtration is an integral part of most process industries, ore beneficiation, pharmaceutics, food or water, and is particularly important in waste treatment applications. Often there is trash, dirt and debris mixed with waste water that will interfere with reliable operation of the pumps and instruments that are part of neutralization and chemical treatment processes. For precipitation processes, such as heavy metal or fluoride removal, filtration is an essential requirement. Many systems have air-operated components, and proper filtration of the air supply is needed to allow those components to function reliably.
Filters are available in a wide array of materials and configurations. Careful consideration of system flow rate, chemical compatibility, particle size distribution and dewatering rate, among other factors, is important for selecting an appropriate filter housing and element. Wastech integrates filters and strainers into every system to assure reliable operation and serviceability.
