Heavy Metal Removal

Manufacturing processes often introduce heavy metals such as Copper, Nickel, Cadmium, Chrome, Zinc, Iron, and Lead into waste water.

Heavy metals are basic elements and cannot be changed into any other element. They are toxic when absorbed by the cells of plants or animals. These toxic and carcinogenic materials must be removed from waste water before it can be recycled, reused, or returned to the environment.

Wastech designs heavy metal removal systems for all types of applications including small batch, large batch, and continuous treatment systems. Our Laboratory can test waste samples and determine the best treatment process. Wastech heavy metal removal systems can be designed for non-proprietary, generic chemicals using traditional treatment methods, or for the superior preformance and lower operating costs of MetFloc™ chemistry.

  • MetFloc™ process chemicals are a breakthrough in the treatment of waste water bearing heavy metals, such as Chrome, Copper, Nickel, Iron, Zinc, and Cadmium. MetFloc™ chemicals perform more effectively and cost less to operate, compared to traditional specialty chemicals.
