MetFloc™ process chemicals are a breakthrough in the treatment of waste water bearing heavy metals, such as Chrome, Nickel, Iron, Zinc and Cadmium. MetFloc™ chemicals perform more effectively and cost less to operate, compared to traditional specialty chemicals. MetFloc™ chemicals only require one or two process steps where others require four, five or more. MetFloc™ can do this, because it removes a variety of heavy metals at a single pH setting, rather than multiple settings to match the least point of solubility for each metal constituent. This reduces capital equipment investment and simplifies the operating process. MetFloc™ chemicals are dosed using pH controllers, which are more reliable and easier to maintain than conductivitiy, ORP or other types of sensors required with other chemicals. And they can be precisely controlled to avoid overdosing treatment chemicals, therefore avoiding wastefulness and unecessary operating expenses. The primary benefits of MetFloc™ chemicals are:
- Treats a broad spectrum of heavy metals simultaneously
- Requires fewer process treatment steps
- Consumes less treatment chemical per gallon of waste water
- Produces less sludge which dewaters easily; lower waste haul expenses
- Effective even with presence of chelating agents such as EDTA
- No noxious odors from treatment chemicals; reactions don’t generate noxious fumes
- Lower cost to purchase and operate
- Highly effective with both batch and continuous treatment systems
- Can be applied to existing systems designed around traditional chemicals
- Also effective in reducing fluorides, COD and BOD – contact us for evaluation
